Pétanque, the international short game of boule, is a game of French origin, played on rough, gravelly surfaces. We play on two purpose-built pistes at Dartford Football Club, Princes Park. Boule and instruction can be provided for this easy to play but difficult to master sociable game. Nobody would claim Pétanque to be an athletic pursuit but it is good exercise and is always sociable. The Group welcomes the uninitiated with players at all levels playing. The group meets at Dartford Football Club all year round. (Some days the weather intervenes).

There was lots of fun at Crockenhill in July when the u3a Petanque group enjoyed a morning playing games and then an excellent lunch at The Chequers. Thanks go to the organisers and the chefs.

Petanquers sitting on the new bench erected in memory of Dave Skinner. He was a great servant and supporter of Dartford Football Club where we use the pistes to play.
Others restart the game while the plaque is read.

While some finish off their game three petanquers fix the score board.
