The u3a is a UK wide movement of more than a 1000 u3as just like u3a Dartford. It enables people, no longer in full time employment,

to join together to continue learning and pursue creative and social interests in a friendly informal environment. It is a self-funded charity.

Members, elected to a committee, are responsible for ensuring that everything is organised, runs smoothly, fairly, consistently

and in accordance with legal requirements.

Interest groups are chosen and run by members for members. As we explore our interests we discover new things, get to know

one another and become part of the u3a Dartford community.

The Third Age Trust is the national representative body for the u3a movement in the UK. It provides a wide range of support

services to local u3as, helps develop new u3as and raises the movement’s profile increasing awareness of it throughout the UK.
